How can I describe it? How can I tell you what the city of Malaga means to us? My husband Alexander and I have travelled through most of Spain for our livelihood and we are absolutely certain that we want to live in this extraordinary country some day. But where? Our longing for a sunny climate drove us further and further South. We hadn’t even considered the city of Malaga and we even laughed about this city of the Costa del Sol, which we believed to be a bit of a joke, until we arrived there years later.
It was an absolute revelation.

Malaga Travel Guide

The city turned out to be elegant and the locals were friendly and hospitable. It has an abundance of art and culture, and although the city shouldn’t be compared to the majestic Andalusian cities of Seville, Granada and Córdoba, Málaga certainly shouldn’t be discounted. It has so much to offer.
The sea and beaches, the sight of the beautiful  ’Axarquia’ hills, countless terraces, shops, restaurants and tapas bars, the sun that shines nearly all the time and the relaxed atmosphere… All this and so very much more has made us fall hopelessly in love with this proud city.

For a long time, Málaga functioned mainly as an arrival and departure point for the countless visitors to beautiful Andalusia, but now things are changing. Slowly but surely the city is being discovered, and rightly so. Take a few days to explore the city; you won’t regret it. In this handy guide, you will not find extensive historical descriptions. I will keep it clear and contemporary.
I want to take you on a voyage of discovery with a single goal in mind. It would be amazing if you visited this city and can say afterwards: ‘She’s right. Málaga is absolutely enchanting’.
