Park of Malaga Paseo del Parque
The ‘Park of Malaga’ is a small, incredibly green strip delineated by busy streets. It is a delightful 800 metre long oasis planted with over 250 different tropical and subtropical trees and other plants.
The park is splendidly furnished with benches, fountains, statues of important townsmen, and mosaics incorporating the coats of arms of all the towns in the province of Malaga.
You can walk straight into the park from the centre of town and leave it on the other side to enter the neighbourhood of Malagueta. You will have a magnificent view of the Alcazaba fortress from here. The park is used regularly for festivities. It makes for an ideal open-air theatre.
